Founded in 2020 as a spin-off from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa, Italy, Next Generation Robotics (NGR) specializes in developing advanced robotic systems for railway inspection and maintenance. The company's flagship product, ARGO (Autonomous Robotic inspection of rollinG stOcks), is designed to autonomously inspect the undercarriage of trains without the need for specialized tracks or inspection pits.
The company has also secured a €4.5 million Series A funding round led by CDP Venture Capital, with participation from ToscanaNext Fund, RIF-T, AVM’s Cysero Fund, Kilometro Rosso, SIMEST, Pariter Robotics, and RoboIT. This investment aims to accelerate NGR's growth in the railway robotics sector and expand its presence in the European and international markets.
